Small Grills Some Considerations
If you are thinking about getting a small grill, there are a few things to consider.
The main reason small grills are bought is because the space they will be cooking in is restricted. So first off you need to get an idea of the size of that space.
Small grills are used on patio’s, veranda’s, small balconies, and small yards. So check out that space, allow extra room to move around the grill and then you will have a reasonable idea of what space you have available.
Another cool feature of small grills is they are usually easily transportable. I say easily but that is only if you can fit them into the auto. Be sure to check out that space also.
Finally have a think about where you will be storing your gas grill when you are not using it. No, don’t leave it outdoors when not in use.
After you have purchased your gas grill, make sure to purchase a cover for it. This will extend the life greatly, {as it will keep it from the elements and extremes of temperatures} They are invaluable.
One of the first things you should do having purchased your small gas grill is register it with the manufacturer, Why?
1. You invoke your 12 month guarantee. Don’t forget to do this, just in case you have any problems down the line.
2. The supplier will mail you with product updates and news.
3. Probably the most important reason to register, is in case there is a call back on your grill or any part of it. This applies to all grills, petite, large, cheap, costly. This doesn’t happen a lot but can happen with anything you buy.
Re calls are not bad, in fact they are good and show that the maker monitors problems and issues with their merchandise, and takes responsibility for them. So look at re-calls as a good thing, and you will of course always get your money back or a brand new replacement.
Now the boring bit is that you should clean it after use. That is, if you really want to get value out of your grill. Keep it well maintained and you will get many years out of your grill. Oh yes, and be sure to use the cover, they do not work very well when left in the packet it came in.
What price should you budget? You do not need to pay a lot for your grill. The most important thing is that it suits you, and that it fits the place intended for it.
Lastly remember a small gas grill doesn’t have to be for lovely weather only. You can have great fun all wrapped up on a cold winter day, sitting outside enjoying hearty grilled food on the tiniest of grills.
